Chris Vervaet is a Senior Associate at T. Bjornson and Associates Inc. (B&A), a boutique public affairs and management consulting firm based in Ottawa specializing in topics shaping Canada�s agriculture and food sector.

Chris possesses more than 25 years of leadership experience in policy development, regulatory affairs, and government relations, with a particular focus on the intersection of agriculture and climate policy. He is a leading expert in Canada on all matters related to biofuels, working closely with government and industry partners on key regulatory initiatives that are driving demand for grains and oilseeds.

Prior to joining B&A, he served 11 years as the executive director for the Canadian Oilseed Processors Association, leading the industry through a period of unprecedented growth in value-added canola processing investments.

He grew up on a grain farm in Southern Manitoba and currently lives in Winnipeg with his wife and daughter.
