David Cantin, CPA, is a member of the Quebec CPA Order with more than twenty years of business experience. Since joining Polara in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer, he has played a key role in strengthening the company’s position as a leader in transportation electrification. He has been instrumental in the development of strategic initiatives such as Polara Carbon and Polara Capital, creating new growth opportunities and innovative value-generating business lines. He also played a significant role in the acquisition of Cleo from Hydro-Québec, supporting Polara’s continued expansion.

Earlier in his career, David spent many years in the banking sector, where he advised hundreds of businesses in the development and execution of their growth projects. He steadily advanced through the ranks of commercial banking, building a strong track record in business financing and relationship management. His entrepreneurial mindset ultimately led him to transition to the private sector, where he continues to combine strategic vision, financial expertise, and operational leadership to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation. Prior to joining Polara, David served as the financial leader of a manufacturing company, helping the organization navigate the challenges of the pandemic while achieving strong growth in both revenue and workforce.
