Laura Gray-Steinhauer is the Director of Industrial Climate Policy, leading the TIER Policy & Economics team at Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. She oversees policy, economic, and market analysis supporting Alberta's industrial emissions reduction and carbon pricing framework, including the Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) system. Over her career in government, academia, and applied research, Laura has specialized in environmental and economic modelling, climate adaptation, and emissions reduction policy. She holds a PhD in Natural Resource Management from the University of Alberta and focuses on translating science and economic analysis into practical climate policy solutions.
