Nishka Gupta is a Senior Vice-President at ARC Financial Corporation, Canada’s largest energy-focused private equity firm with over $6.3 billion in capital raised across 11 funds since 1997. She leads origination, structuring, and execution for ARC’s Energy Transition Fund, focusing on growth equity investments in renewable fuels, electrification, and carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS). Her portfolio includes companies at the forefront of infrastructure and energy innovation. She is Chairperson of StormFisher Hydrogen, a developer of green hydrogen and e-fuels projects across North America, and serves on the boards of Gage Zero and Charger Ready, both focused on EV charging infrastructure in North America. She also supports CarbiCrete, a Montreal-based carbon utilisation company producing net-zero concrete. Nishka’s investment approach centres on scalable platforms where technology has been de-risked and where operational excellence and data-driven decision-making can unlock significant value. In addition to her work at ARC, Nishka serves on the boards of two non-profit organisations: Carbon Management Canada, a research and policy think tank focused on industrial decarbonisation, and the Women’s Centre of Calgary, which advocates for gender equity and community empowerment. Prior to joining ARC, Nishka worked as an engineer at Shell and holds degrees in both engineering and finance.
Nishka joined ARC in 2014 with prior experience as an operations engineer and engineer-in-training at a major multinational energy company. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Faculty of Applied Science at Western University.
